Tools: Figma
Empowering small business owners with
bite-sized tasks that build habits.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
A mobile solution that gamifies the Airo tasks into smaller manageable steps that encourages habitual usage.
In Summer 2024, I finished my internship at GoDaddy with a creative and ambitious project that allowed me to help small business owners optimize their time. As the designer, I crafted the user experience and interface, focusing on breaking down large tasks into manageable, habit-forming actions.
Airo Daily is a mobile app that encourages habitual usage by segmenting larger activities into manageable, quick tasks that can be completed throughout the day while motivating small business owners to maintain their streak of progress.

PROBLEM
Background
In the fast-paced world of small businesses, owners often find themselves battling against the clock, with only fleeting moments amidst the day-to-day hustle to devote to improving or growing their business.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
How might we tailor our approach to effectively optimize
these small windows of time, turning them into opportunities
for impactful solutions?
Project Goals
1. Improve efficiency by changing tasks to be simpler or pre-filled so users do not have to spend more time on them.
2. Increasing engagement by adding gamified elements and interactions to make users more motivated with completing tasks that will help their business.
FINAL SOLUTION + HIFI DESIGNS
Empowering small business owners with bite-sized tasks that build habits.
1. Actionable home page design and informative sections
2. Clear, intuitive, and seamless levels
3. Complete levels and earn real rewards
A homepage with clear CTAs can guide users effectively and ensure they know where to begin.
Each section also provides users with context to their goals to increase motivation.
Most levels are designed to be completed in under 5 minutes, with pre-filled information
from the user’s account to minimize repetitive tasks and save time.
Each level celebrates and awards points upon completion, which can be redeemed for real
rewards, providing an added incentive to keep progressing.

REFLECTION
What I learned
Next steps
This project taught me how to adapt an existing product concept into a completely new app tailored to a different user base. By reimagining the functionality and design of an established product, I learned how to identify core features that could be transformed to meet the needs of small business owners. This required balancing the essence of the original product while introducing innovative solutions.
Challenges and
constraints
With the short time span of this project, designing a responsive mobile experience was a significant challenge. I had to prioritize essential features and simplify complex workflows to ensure the app was both functional and intuitive on smaller screens. Balancing aesthetics with usability under time constraints required quick iterations and adaptability, pushing me to refine my design process for efficiency.
Connecting the Platforms
As a next step, I would focus on connecting Airo Daily to existing GoDaddy tools and websites. Also implementing a rewards system that offers practical benefits, such as discounted services or promotional credits, ensuring users gain tangible value while staying motivated to use the app consistently.
